So I wore this wonderful piece of sexiness out today and I promise you these hoes out here were HATING... no lie. As soon as I opened the car door and my boots touched the asphalt I got a whole lot of stares, I mean seriously ladies it is not that serious. They are so brain washed with what a girl my size should be wearing, f-that I want the tightest, most revealing shit out there. Get it, got it, good, now on to the details of this dress.

I saw this number on IG @tinkascloset their a boutique located in Florida (I believe Orlando, my old stomping ground) and they have plus size and normal size clothes, everything is just simply gorgeous. When I saw this dress I had to have it, look at it, OMG!!!

The material is spandex and very soft and it has a slinky feel to it, hopefully that makes sense. Because of the slinky feel whenever I move in it, it kind of feels like it riding up and I am constantly pulling the dress down, so now, I am looking for some clothing tape, so that I can tape the lower sides to my legs.

Underneath I am wearing of course what every plus size woman should have in the drawer a SPANX, because my SPANX is knee length and this dress is short with a curve on the side, I rolled the SPANX all the way up so that it fits like a panty shape wear. It wasn't uncomfortable and it did the job.

Lips - M.A.C. Matte Royal & KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick

When I saw the new matte lipsticks by M.A.C. I was so excited, not because it was a matte lipstick but the one that stood out the most to me, the royal blue simply called royal is so lovely. I knew how I wanted to pair this lipstick, like I saw myself wearing an all denim outfit, with some M.E. reebok sneakers, chunky jewelry and a hat of course. Well, needless to say I bolted to my nearest M.A.C. store and to my dismay the lipstick wasn't coming in until the following Wednesday. To make a long story short, I have the lipstick in my possession, yes it is matte, it glides on like a sheen lipstick, my lips do not feel dry after applying the lipstick.

Fast forward to the new released KVD (Kat Von D) Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks, the hype around this product is crazy. The colors are gorgeous, high pigment and funky and the names are so adorbs. So far I have in my possession three Bow n Arrow, Echo ( exactly like the M.A.C. Royal matte lipstick) and Ayesha. I still want to get Damned, Nosferatu, Witch, Requiem and Santa Sangre. These lipsticks glide on easily but they can get a bit dry but I still love them and will continue to buy them, plus its not tested on any animals. That's always a bonus for me.

She also came out with a limited edition trooper ink liner which is basically the same liner in a different package and $1 from each one sold is donated to an animal shelter in CA. Plus, there are new eyeshadows out, and I have heard that there is going to be a Shade & Light Blush palette, and coming soon there is an eyeshadow wheel coming out. I will be in line for all of them. Oh, side note her Shade & Light contour brush is worth the doe, I tried it out and it is really good.

Both lipsticks are very similar so if you missed out on the M.A.C. Royal then pop into your local Sephora and grab the KVD in Echo before they sell out.

One of my favorite things to do is DIY, especially taking vintage tee that looks brand spanking new and turning it into a distressed worn out old 1980's tee or taking a basic leather jacket or a army jacket adding some spikes and paint to it voila, perfection. The crazy thing is people always ask "Hey, where did you get that from? and my response is its a DIY. The look on their faces is priceless.
But, yeah this Run DMC tee had sleeves and it looked perfect, a little to perfect for my liking, so I went to work. I chopped the sleeves of slit the armpits a little lower, cut holes all over the place and last I added some bleach to a wash cloth and bleached certain area. I did not was the tee afterwards I left it to air dry overnight, then I rocket it with this crotchet lace skirt that I bought from Torrid.com
You see, there is no need to pay for expensive vintage tee, as a matter of fact any old tee can be turned into a "vintage" piece.
In my eyes just like makeup, there are no rules when it comes to YOUR personal style. Fashion is meant to be broken and experimenting with new looks, trends, colors, textiles, and so much more.

I normally don't wear any kind of heels, not cause I can't walk in them but I hate them they are so uncomfortable, your feet start hurting toes feel like they getting ready to burst wide open, veins throbbing and your looking for the nearest seat to plop into. Heels are cute but the suck...

Truth be told, I like buying them cause lets face it they are really cute but whenever I buy a pair I end up giving them away because I am never going to wear them and it ends up being just a waste of money on my end. But, I have always wanted a pair of the famous Jeffrey Campbells' Lita they are so lovely, I probably wouldn't wear it on a regular basis but I would take it on a little adventure every now and then. You Know who the hell am I fooling I would most likely never wear these shoes the only adventure they would be going on is out of the dusty box, pulling them out of its bag, trying them on and throwing them bag in its bag back into the box and storing it away. I just don't like heels, heels and I are not friends, we have a love hate relationship.

Enjoy

Dear OPRAH.

Dear Oprah,

first let me say that I respect you as a business woman, you started from nothing and built an tremendous empire, much respect. I also grew up in a house where all the women watched your talk show, even though it never interested me I tuned in every now and then. When you came out with your O magazine I saw it in every hair salon, grocery store and on some of my aunts coffee tables and yes I found myself flipping through once in awhile.

The other day, I was checking out my Instagram like I always do, every minute, every second, every hour, I am addicted. I notice on my feed that the entire plus size community wanted your head on a stick roasting on a crackling fire, like a melting marshmallow. So, of course I did my research because I wanted to know what was going on and then my oriential doe shaped eyes got as wide as it would let me, shocked!!! After that, anger decided to set in and I was pissed, for the life of me I couldn't understand why you would allow something so ignorant and plain out disrespectful be written and published in your magazine. My feeling aren't hurt but I was simply baffled at what was written, I thought that a woman such as yourself who has been judged and criticized would have known better, would see that this comment is wrong. So many girls, young women and adult women have suffered with body image such as Karen Carpenter, Janet Jackson, yourself, Hayden Panettiere Demi Lovato and some people close to me. So many of these women and future women look in the mirror, stare at themselves and see something horrible looking back at them, I have learned that words are so powerful and can destroy a person mentally and physically.

I know what it is like to be judged and have people always commenting on your size, saying things like my size has restrictions I can't fit into a old ass broke down raggedy Jeep, I can't go zip lining or just by looking at me they can see how unhealthy I am and what my future is going to eventually look like, everyone wants to play the role of God, but God will never do or say anything to make his people feel bad about themselves whether they are fat, skinny, gay, white, black, or even if they look different, He is all about love, so why do we try to hurt each other with vicious words?

We are living in a new era where the younger generation, my generation just doesn't care anymore, we are doing what we want, loving who we want and being open with our lives, it is safe to say that we are the example of an open book. Like so many, when the same sex marriage law was finally passed it was a joyous day, maybe one day the next step will be selflove day. A day of loving yourself, appreciating yourself and respecting yourself and most importantly respecting others.

So this post is dedicated to you, showing you that even though I am a BIG girl, yes I can wear a cropped top,  even though I am a FAT girl with rolls yes, I can wear a cropped top, yes even though I am a plus-size girl with no stretch marks I can still wear a cropped top because I LOVE ME and I am confident and God made me this way and simply my dearest Oprah, I don't give a damn what you and others think I should and shouldn't wear I'm pleasing me and when I look into my mirror there is a smiling face looking back at me.

We all make mistakes but the lesson is learning from it and growing, I hope that you see that no matter what size or shape you are and once you have self love and confidence nothing can stop you from doing or wearing what you want, cause its not stopping me or any other fat girl.

Sincerely,
Joei Saint Lovers aka FatbellyChanel.
